St Pierre du Bois

In 2022 we completed an ultra-low-energy home in Guernsey, Channel Islands, using a sophisticated offsite manufacture system.

Situated in a green landscape, surrounded by grassy fields and thousand-year-old hedgerows, its form is borrowed from the traditional farmhouse it replaced.

Two intersecting masses divided the site into a public driveway and south-facing, private garden, and terraces will be cut for multi-level, garden, family life.

Inside, a central, helical stair is be framed against an orchard meadow beyond. Reception spaces orbit a multi-sided fireplace, and every family member has their own quirky hobby space beyond their bedroom.

Handover took place early-December 2022. The following images were taken early September that same year.
