End of 2023 saw OGArch, in partnership with Interior Designer Deborah Josepovici, prevail in an interiors concept competition for new 450m² modernist residence alongside an historic country home.
The new residence is to contrast strongly with the surrounding architecture, but will be invisible from any approach. OGArch’s proposal embraced the boldness of the vision with generous materials and scupltural elements.
A neutral-coloured Public Area zone, like a Wunderkammer, acts as a backdrop to stimulating, whimsical personal items, and is defined by three sculptural anchor points, stair, fireplace and kitchen. Below, the fireplace can be seen with its rubbed bronze hood and bush hammered concrete bench.
A kitchen and stair also uses rubbed bronze, and engages blonde timbers with intricate silver marble.
The Suite Zone showcases signature aesthetics for each client and their guests, within an art-deco framework. Of the two primary suites, one uses a rich, chocolate palette for gravitas and comfort, while the other is more playful and life-affirming.
Construction and detailed design are underway in parallel, with completion late 2024. OGArch is honoured to be part of this important project.
