Chelsea

Chelsea is where white stucco façades arrange into dignified and instantly recognisable, West London streets. It’s here we transformed a classic townhouse into a light-filled home for a client who works in luxury fashion.

A product of incremental changes by traditionalist, former owners, the house was a wide mix of finishes and styles, with many areas having been abandoned for decades. The brief was to bring order to the chaos.

Referencing the tonality of existing materials worth keeping, we developed a more muted palette, and encouraged light throughout building via oversized doors and windows with filigree, white steel-framed glazing.

The result is gallery-like backdrop to warmer, sculptural furniture and ornaments. These are presented as objets d’art, among which the client moves, always enjoying a pleasing view.
